A Car Critic Looks at the Tesla Cybertruck

The Tesla Cybertruck has been in the prototype phase for years, but Elon Musk insists that actual customers will get actual Cybertrucks on November 30. Is this vehicle ready? Daniel Golson got to examine one up close at a cars and coffee event in Malibu. He didn't like what he saw.

I’ve been around hundreds of prototype cars in my career, ranging from early test mules to near-production prototypes, and I’ve never seen an automaker proudly present something of this poor quality, especially not this late in development.

What, exactly, is the problem? Golson noticed gaps where the parts should fit together. Visibility from the driver's seat is a problem. And the overall design doesn't make much sense. He found some good things to say about it, but was left with the feeling that the truck is just not ready. Read the details of the Cybertruck inspection at Inside EVs.
